Nurturing the Ocean, Harvesting Opportunity

Sustainable Seaweed Farming

BWSFA cultivates seaweed as a way to reduce pressure on marine ecosystems while meeting the growing demand for this valuable resource. Our farms focus on two red algae species—Kappaphycus alvarezii and Eucheumatopsis isiformis—grown on submerged structures 21 miles away from the coast.
